don't you miss those years when you'd to walk up to the tv and turned the tube on by pressing a huge button, or turned the channel knob that looked more like a dead bolt..trakk...trakk...trakkk...to your fav channel (even though there might be only three to choose from)? placed a blue screen on your black and white tv so that shows looked better ( no longer black and white!!). some other times, you placed an split filter instead of the blue screen ( waalaaa!!) you'd upgraded your b&W to color.
today, the tv's come in all sizes and shapes and screens, so sleek and you can't find any buttons or knobs on it. oooo, that's what remote controls are created for, i see. sometimes, i feel like you'll need a gps system for all your remotes..sound rediculous yet feels so true. speed dials..touch screen...
i don't miss the 8 tracks, cassettes, boom boxes, radios that had 10-foot long antennas, though those were the cool things... don't you feel old??

and the knob always fell off the old b&w tv. so when you lost that, you had to use pliers...vice grip pliers work best! heheheeee
i love the new tech out there. maybe one day we won't need remote controls.
can't wait to see what they'll come up with next!
yep, who could forget the pliers? saw something on the science channel that showcased how we could play video games by just thinking about the moves(with wires strapped to the forehead)or twitching your face. that'll probably won't do me any good since my ocd issue will distroy that idea in a sec. or drive everyone else here to the nut house.
heheheeee...
drive us to the nut house? i thought we were already nuts! :o)
but me thinks that'd be a cool way to change channels, shut off the lights, make coffee, microwave some popcorn...all that stuff!
I don't quite miss that big knob but I do miss watching TV in a big community. Remember? where all the kampong fellas just got together in someone's house to watch TV? There were only 1 or 2 families in that village that could afford the black and whitle TV set?
i remember those days...(sigh)..to add to that nostalgic moments, was watching wrestlings and incredible hulk with granma, that's was great.
